Personality: Draco opts to attack his enemies through psychological warfare rather than by physical force. His elitist upbringing is often used as a weapon to belittle those less prosperous than himself, such as Ron Weasley. He also insults Hermione Granger's Muggle-born status by referring to her as a "Mudblood". As Rowling explained in 1999, "He's a bigot, and he's a bully, and as I say, in the most refined sense, he knows exactly what will hurt people".
In a July 2005 interview, Rowling added that Draco, unlike Harry, never feels any remorse for his actions: "I thought of Draco as someone who is very capable of compartmentalizing his life and his emotions, and always has done. So he's shut down his pity, enabling him to bully effectively. He's shut down compassion — how else would you become a Death Eater?"
Draco's character, ironically, provides a pivotal turning point in the storyline when he displays a rare moment of regret late in the series. Harry takes pity on Draco when he grasps the gravity of the expectations, including murder, with which Draco has been coping with as one of Voldemort's minions: "...suddenly, having talked the talk, he's asked to walk it for the first time and it is absolutely terrifying."Draco, as well as Dudley Dursley, was indoctrinated with his parents' beliefs; Rowling commented that "The moment Draco got what he thought he wanted, to become a Death Eater, and given a mission by Lord Voldemort, as he did in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, reality finally hit him" because his dream was "so very different". Rowling also stated that there was a real moral cowardice to Draco, but that he was not wholly bad.

Good
Points: Admittedly there aren't many. However, he is unable to kill Dumbledore, showing that he is not completely bad. Also in Deathly Hallows, when asked to identify Harry, Ron and Hermione, he half heartedly gives a response.

Bad Points: Draco is a bully, who has a skill at knowing exactly how to hurt people's feelings. He often uses the racist term "Mudblood". He is also very spoilt and sulks if he doesn't get his own way.

Draco was born into the Malfoy family on the 5th of June, 1980. The Malfoy family are a very proud Pureblood family - a trait which was passed onto Draco while growing up. Like most of his family, Draco was sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He attended Hogwarts between the years of 1991 - 1997. However before his 4th year, he requested to be transferred to Durmstrang. Much to his displeasure, his mother refused. During his years at Hogwarts, he spent most of it tormenting people, the most frequent including Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom and the Weasleys. However, he always remained a favourite student of Professor Severus Snape. It wasn't until his 6th year where his life became problematic. Due to his father failing a mission from Voldemort and getting locked up in Azkaban, as a punishment Draco was made a Death Eater, given the task to kill Albus Dumbledore. Draco was first off smug that he had been set this task before realising how difficult it truly was. It was then he began to break down, confiding in the company of a Hogwarts ghost named Moaning Myrtle and constantly brushing off any offered help from Snape (who had made an Unbreakable Vow with Draco's mother to protect him). By the end of the year, Draco successfully managed to get Death Eaters into the castle using and fixing the Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement but couldn't perform the task of killing Dumbledore - leading to Snape having to do so instead. Draco returned to Hogwarts in his 7th year, although it is unsure how his life was then. During the Battle at Hogwarts however, he was saved twice by Harry Potter. In later life, 17 years later, he is seen at Kings Cross Station saying farewell to his child who is starting his first year at Hogwarts.
His talents are Flying, Potions, Occlumency - taught to by his aunt Bellatrix and the Protean Charm.

Roleplay Example:

Draco was home for the Christmas Holidays this year. Returning to Malfoy Manor always seemed like a good idea at the time - why on earth would he want to spend his holiday stuck in that dingy old castle filled with Mudbloods? However, now that he was home he was once again reminded on how lonely it was. His parents cared for him and bought him everything he demanded but owning expensive items surprisingly didn't fill the emptiness inside. Of course, the Slytherins back at Hogwarts would never know that. When he returned he would boast about all the gifts he was given, slipping in the price of them too. No one would know how lonely it was to be Draco Malfoy at Christmas.
Perched at the end of his four poster bed, staring intently at the ground, wallowing in self pity, he heard the soft voice of his mother call through the door which immediately interrupted his thoughts. "Draco, are you all right, darling?" Sighing gently, he ran a hand roughly through his silver hair before replying; "Yes, mother." There was a long pause, in which Draco hoped his mother had tip toed off to go look at herself in the mirror. Unfortunately he was wrong. "Won't you come out and speak to me?" She then asked, her voice filled with sadness. It seemed that she was also having a lonely Christmas. Slipping off his bed, Draco fixed his hair back into it's usual style - the ruffled one he had momentarily created was not fitting - and muttered; "Of course."
