Ginevra Molly "Ginny" Potter (née Weasley), born on August 11, 1981, is a pure-blood witch, the youngest of Arthur and Molly Weasley's seven children, and the first female to be born into the Weasley line for several generations. She attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1992 to 1999 and was sorted into Gryffindor house. During her first year, she was possessed by Tom Riddle’s sixteen-year-old self, and was forced to re-open the Chamber of Secrets, endangering the lives of many students, including her own. Since that ordeal, Ginny grew into a confident young woman, becoming an important member of Dumbledore's Army, fighting in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower in 1997, and the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998. She was also an accomplished Quidditch player, playing Chaser and Seeker at different times for the Gryffindor House team, and later playing professionally for the Holyhead Harpies. She married Harry Potter at some point between 1998 and 2017, and they had three children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna Potter. Upon retiring from the Harpies, Ginny became the senior Quidditch correspondent for the Daily Prophet.

Ginny sauntred into the familiar Entrance Hall of Hogwarts, her home away from home and grinned that Weasley grin, her bright brown eyes glimmering this way and that, which ever way the light of the candles hit off of them. Her wave upon wave of vivid red hair trailed down her back in waves, not unlike that of a lions mane, bouncing lushously into place with every confident step she took.
"Look at that Peeves, it's little Miss Weasley, looking very grown up," echoed the voice of the Gryffindo Ghost 'Nearly Headless' Nick, an entity she'd grown rather fond of in her 5 years at the Castle. Her Gryffindor cloak billowed behind her as she strode through the crammed corridor, weaving her way in and out of the new first years who were struggling to find her way, she felt nothing but sympathy as when she was just starting she had 4 older brothers in the school with her. Running one dainty hand through her vibrant red mane she sighed contently, she'd missed Hogwarts. Her coral lips formed into an instant smile at a recognisable voice, one that said 'Hey Gin," in a breathless sort of charm, and that voice belonged to Harry, the very boy she'd loved for so very long. Ginny spun around with a bright grin and greeted the dark haired boy wonder. His very presence reasured her that it may be a good year after all.
